VP Tech Leader Responsibilities • Define the technical strategy and product roadmaps to expand data ingestion and develop client access platforms. • Manage a multidisciplinary team of ~20 people: Architect, Developers, Data Scientists, IT, AI, CISO, etc. • Prioritize initiatives to accelerate data processing, analysis, and cross-platform sharing. • Recruit, mentor, and scale engineering, DevOps, and data teams. • Manage relationships with customers, cloud providers and other external vendors. • Design secure, scalable AWS environments and manage overall R&D infrastructure costs. • Oversee repository management, technical debt mitigation, monitoring, and system observability. • Direct security and privacy operations (CISO and DPO functions) through threat modeling, encryption, and secure coding practices. • Supervise high-throughput workflows and EHR data mapping pipelines. • Take full ownership of inbound and outbound IT support operations. • Ideate, pilot, and scale innovative technical solutions for clients and internal R&D. Requirements • 7+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a technical leadership role. • Hands-on full-stack development proficiency, specifically in Python and React. • Deep technical expertise in AWS services (e.g., S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM). • Proven track record of recruiting, mentoring, and scaling high-performance R&D teams. • Exceptional communication skills to align technical teams with non-technical stakeholders. • Strong history of delivering both client-facing features and internal tools, with a bias for rapid experimentation and iteration..
